Frequently asked questions

Can we meet you before booking you for our wedding day?

Definitely! I always suggest meeting my wedding photography clients before they book me, and I strongly recommend doing so with any photographer you’re considering!

There’s more to wedding photography than great photos. Your wedding photographer will play a key role and will be very involved in the whole day, potentially from bridal preparations through to your first dance and beyond. You need to know you’ll get on with them and that you’ll be comfortable with them being there, and the best way of doing that is to meet with them. So get in touch and let’s meet for a coffee!

What is your style of photography?

I like to capture your wedding day as it really happens, so my style of wedding photography tends to be a documentary/reportage style.

What this means is that, for most of the photos, you’ll barely know I’m there – I’ll just be constantly looking for those beautiful, natural shots of you and your guests and leaving you to enjoy your beautiful wedding day.

Naturally, you will probably want some staged photos such as big group shots, family and friends shots, etc., and I’m more than happy to do this – just check out my portfolio for some examples of the fun group shots we can take!

What areas do you cover?

I live in Biggleswade so all of Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire, and Cambridgeshire is easily accessible. I’ll happily travel up to 50 miles for a wedding with fuel included in the price. I’m happy to go much further afield though this will incur a small amount of mileage costs (and possibly hotel costs if an overnight stay is required).

I’d also be happy to travel abroad for your wedding day… (flights, accommodation, and expenses will need to be covered).

What happens on our wedding day?

I aim to get to the wedding venue at least an hour before the ceremony starts. This gives me plenty of time to talk to the staff there and find out what the rules are (if any). After that, I’ll be snapping away constantly throughout the day, taking photos of you, your guests, the place settings, and all the small but important details.

We’ll run through any group shots you want, usually soon after the ceremony but it all depends on your agenda.

After your wedding day, I’ll back up all of your photos and then begin editing. Most weddings result in 400-600 fully edited wedding photographs.

How do we secure you for our wedding day?

All I require is a 25% deposit to secure the booking for your wedding day, paid by bank transfer.

How do we get the wedding photos from you?

After I’ve finished editing all of your wedding photos, I’ll courier or hand deliver all of the photos on a USB stick to you.

The photos are all copyright-free for you to do with as you please. Gone are the days where wedding photographers force you to buy expensive photobooks!

That being said, I have a number of suppliers who make beautiful photo albums and I do strongly recommend printing a selection of your wedding photos.
